Our Approach

CrossoverSignal turns decades of market experience into a fixed, repeatable screen and publishes what it finds every trading day. The rules themselves stay private. This page explains how they are applied and how to read the results.

Principles

Rules, not hunches

The same fixed rules run on every stock after every close. There are no discretionary additions, no favorite names and no headlines-driven picks.

Odds, not predictions

A setup is a condition in the chart, not a forecast. Each one carries the chance it completes at the next close and how often similar setups moved the right way afterward.

Risk in plain view

Earnings dates sit next to the setups they could upset. When a company reports within five trading days, the report says so.

Every call on the record

Calls are logged when they are made and scored after the fact, overnight, one day and three days later. Nothing is removed afterward.

From the close to the next open

  1. The close

US markets close at 4:00 p.m. Eastern. Work starts from the final end-of-day prices.

  2. The screen

Every stock in the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100 and Dow 30 is checked against the rules, and the ones close to a trend change form the watch list.

  3. The report

Each setup is scored and written up in the Daily Report, which is prepared after the close and refreshed before the next open.

  4. The record

Over the following sessions every call is scored, and the results go into the track record that each report carries.

What the numbers mean

Odds Next Close
The chance a setup completes at the next close. It describes the setup, not the price: 99% means the setup is nearly certain to complete, not that the price will rise or fall.
Confidence
How often past setups like this one closed the next day in the direction of the setup, across about 1,000 US stocks over 12 years. Around 50% is a coin flip.
Cross If
The next closing price at which the setup completes, and its distance from the last close.
Results
Each call is measured as a hypothetical $1,000 position in its direction, long for bullish and short for bearish, before costs. Overnight runs from the signal-day close to the next open; the one-day and three-day holds run from the signal-day close.

What we don't do

  • Give personal advice. The report is the same for everyone on the list.
  • Predict prices. Odds describe setups, and the record shows how they played out.
  • Hide losing calls. Every logged call stays in the record.
